FREE FAMILY CONCERT – 2026 CABRILLO FESTIVAL

Conducted by Octavio Más-Arocas
Paul Dooley: The Conductors Spellbook
Gala Flagello: Bravado
Led by Conductor-in-Residence Octavio Más-Arocas, the beloved free Family Concert features Paul Dooley‘s The Conductor’s Spellbook, an interactive musical adventure introducing audiences of all ages to the orchestra through playful storytelling, alongside Gala Flagello‘s vibrant fanfare Bravado. A “Tour of the Orchestra” invites curious minds of all ages to explore the instruments that bring the music to life. In a special partnership with El Sistema Santa Cruz/Pajaro Valley, select honor students will open the concert with a performance of Poppy by Gala Flagello—continuing the Festival’s commitment to access, education, and mentorship.
Welcome to the Cabrillo Festival
Families, we’re so glad you’re here.
This concert is designed to be enjoyed by audiences of all ages, and we know that children experience music in wonderfully different ways. Wiggles, whispers, giggles, and bursts of excitement are all part of sharing live music together.
We also want everyone in the audience to have a great experience. If your little one needs a break, feel free to step into the lobby for a few moments and return whenever you’re ready.
Thank you for helping us create a welcoming, joyful space where children can discover the excitement of live orchestral music and everyone can enjoy the performance together.
Drinks with lids are welcome, stroller parking will be available in the lobby.
More Than a Concert
The Cabrillo Festival is a place to gather, discover, and connect. Throughout the week, free open rehearsals, Meet the Composers, and artist talks offer a unique opportunity to experience the music taking shape before it reaches the stage and engage with the community that brings the music to life.
