Orchestra Panel With Q&A

In a now much-beloved tradition, the Festival reprised our annual musician panel discussion moderated by principal flute Tim Munro, and featuring members of the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra including Thomas Carpenter (principal cello), Anne Chandra (associate principal violin II), Svet Stoyanov (percussion), and Emily Wong (principal piano—and holder of longest tenure in the Festival Orchestra!). The live event included an audience Q&A, and the conversation delved into the mysteries of life as a musician, the joys of Cabrillo Festival and Santa Cruz, the challenges of participating in a virtual orchestra premiere, coping during a pandemic, the current social upheaval, and so much more. This is a Festival fan favorite and always prompts fascinating insights and conversation.
