The Festival season ends triumphantly with Kevin Puts’ Concerto for Orchestra spotlighting the amazing Festival players; the world premiere of Xavier Foley’s new concerto Resurrection of Titan, with violinist Eunice Kim and the composer on double bass; Robert Hughes’ beautiful Estampie which reflects the influences of his mentor Lou Harrison; Dan Caputo’s Liminal that explores people’s psychological behaviors during transitional states; and Anna Clyne’s Wild Geese, inspired by Mary Oliver’s poem and commissioned in honor of Executive Director Ellen Primack.
