Music in the Mountains returns to Nestldown! Hidden in the redwoods on acres of lushly landscaped property in the Santa Cruz Mountains, this exquisite private retreat provides an unparalleled setting for the Festival’s most vital fundraising event of the season. The mix of pleasures includes perfect pairings of food and wine by the region’s premier restaurateurs and vintners, a silent auction offering one-of-a-kind experiential packages (preview auction items here!), and the opportunity to explore Nestldown’s famously spectacular grounds. This enchanting experience culminates with a twilight chamber music concert in the cathedral-ceilinged wood hall featuring performances of contemporary works performed by Jason Hardink, piano; Cristian Macelaru, violin; concertmaster Justin Bruns, and Festival principal clarinet Bharat Chandra; plus a performance by composer/pianist Jake Heggie with bass-baritone Jonathan Lemalu. An unforgettable evening awaits!
