Inbal Segev took some time to record a little preview for us!
Heralded by The New York Times as a “composer of uncommon gifts and unusual methods,” Anna Clyne returns to the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music with DANCE for cello and orchestra, co-commissioned with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Based on a poem by the 13th century Persian poet and Sufi mystic, Rumi, Clyne’s new work features Inbal Segev, a cellist praised for her “warm, pure and beautiful tone” (Strings Magazine). DANCE receives its world premiere on Saturday, August 3 during the CONTRASTS concert—featuring Segev and the Festival Orchestra led by conductor Cristian Macelaru.
