I started playing Suzuki violin at the age of four with Jan Bogart in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I graduated from Walnut Hill School for the Arts, attended Oberlin Conservatory for two years and then got my Bachelor and Master Degrees in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
After moving to California, I was part of the “Freeway Philharmonic” which included New Century Chamber Orchestra, Fresno Philharmonic, Monterey Symphony, Sacramento Chamber Orchestra and five years in the San Jose Symphony.
I currently play with the Marin Symphony, the Echo Chamber Orchestra of Marin, “Jardin Gitane” a gypsy jazz band, a celtic duo with Amanda Craver and am the concertmaster of the Mill Valley Philharmonic.
On the teaching staff of San Domenico and the WISE Academy, I primarily teach students from my San Anselmo Suzuki Strings studio and like to teach Scottish, Finnish and Swedish fiddle tunes alongside the classical repertoire.
