I have three degrees in music–my Bachelors was granted in Colorado, my home state. My two graduate degrees were conferred at the Cleveland Institute of Music. My primary teachers include Linda Cerone, Stephen Majeske and William Preucil. I’ve performed in Japan and had my European recital debut in Italy in 2010. I love working out, my pets (two cats and a white German Shepherd), all kinds of cuisine, and any creative endeavor. My faith and my friends/family are important to me. I love Cabrillo and fell in love with Santa Cruz the moment I arrived the first time. I look forward to this Festival, my friends in the orchestra, and Marin’s unbelievable musicianship and leadership every year. I feel blessed to be a part of this experience each summer!
Current Residence: Hays KS
My primary instrument is: violin
I also play: Piano...very, very badly...cough, cough
I was born in: Seoul South Korea
I started playing in the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra in: 2003
Favorite piece performed at Cabrillo: A Magnus Lindberg orchestra piece [Behold the Sun] a couple summers ago that depicted the sun/illumination. Absolutely wonderful.
When I am not at Cabrillo Festival, I engage with music this way: I teach music at a university and perform in the USA and abroad.
